Perry (Swede) Hulse, 68, of the Applegate Valley, passed away at Touch of Grace Memory Care Home in Medford on Friday, February 14, 2014 after a battle with Alzheimer's. He was born November 29, 1945, in Medford to Marion and Bernice Hulse.
Swede had a love of hunting and fishing and was accomplished at both.
He began his working career in local orchards at age 14. He later became a logger and worked for various timber companies in the Rogue Valley. He worked for Rogue Disposal as a heavy-equipment operator from 1999 until his retirement in 2008.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda; brothers, Gary and Lonnie Hulse; daughters, Jacque and Mary; sons, John and Perry; and step-sons, Kirk, Mark, Bret, and Matt.
Swede will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends and fondly remembered for his kindness and sense of humor.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, at Ruch Community Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 1311 NW 21st St., Portland, OR 97208.
