Bryon Paul Hackett, 59, of Milwaukie, Ore. passed away suddenly at his home March 15, 2014. Bryon was born on September 24, 1954 in San Jose, Calif. and moved to Eagle Point, Ore. at age 10. He graduated from Eagle Point High School in 1972 and attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind. He worked at SAIF for 17 years and was employed by US Bank as a Systems Analyst from 1999 until his death.

He had many hobbies and interests including genealogy, gardening, raising dahlias, stained glass, music, and baking (his Christmas bread was famous!). He was also a member of Mensa and a lifelong collector of Goofys. He was very kind, generous, and a much admired gentleman by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

Bryon is survived by his wife of 36 years, Leslie; son, Charles (Jen); granddaughter, Kamryn; mother, Pat Hackett of Phoenix, Ore.; father, Don Hackett (Naomi) of Terrebonne, Ore.; brother, Jeff Hackett (Ruth) of Rowlett, Texas; sisters, Ann Hackett of Medford, Ore. and Karen Smith (Rod) of Phoenix, Ore.; and grandmother, Ruby Strand of Ashland, Ore. No services will be held.
