A medical marijuana dispensary temporarily closed today after its business license was revoked by the Medford City Council last Thursday.

MaryJane's Attic and MaryJane's Basement in the Winco shopping center hopes to reopen if it receives a stay of the revocation from the Jackson County Circuit Court on Wednesday.

"They've shut down," said MaryJane's Portland attorney Leland Berger. "Their license has been revoked."

Richard and Marlene Nuckols, owners of the dispensary and store, have filed a petition for a writ of review, which will be heard by Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Timothy Gerking at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Berger said the Nuckolses will ask the judge to stay the revocation until the court can hear all the facts in the case.

Last week, the City Council also placed a permanent moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries within the city limits.
