  • Several brands of peanut and almond butters in plastic and glass jars are being pulled from grocery store shelves because of a possible salmonella contamination.
A news release from the Food & Drug Administration says nSpired Natural Foods Inc., is recalling some Arrowhead Mills peanut butters, MaraNatha almond butters and store brand peanut and almond butters from Safeway, Trader Joe's, Kroger and Whole Foods.
nSpired instituted the recall after routine testing from the FDA highlighted the potential risk.
