Shayla Brooke Grether and Jesse Levi Tanner were sealed on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple in Central Point. Larry Doll officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jobie and Margie Grether of Medford. She is a 2011 graduate of North Medford High School and a 2014 graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, with a bachelor's degree in special education with a mild/moderate emphasis.
The groom is the son of Roger and Lynese Tanner of Rogue River. He is a 2007 graduate of South Medford High School.
Maid of honor was the bride's best friend, Katie Osborne of Portland. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister, Emily Grether of Medford; the groom's sister; Tracie Tanner of Medford; and the bride's friends, Heidi Cloward of Medford and Lucy Dunn of Medford.
Best man was the groom's brother, Paul Tanner of Medford. Groomsmen were the groom's brother, Kevin Tanner of Medford; the ride's brothers, Ethan Grether and Isaac Grether, both of Medford; and the groom's friend, Carter Allen of Spanish Fork, Utah.
A reception hosted by the the bride's family was held Friday, Aug. 22, at the LDS Temple Park. Following a honeymoon cruise from Catalina, Calif., to Ensenada, Mexico, the newlyweds are living in Springville, Utah.
