A naked and combative 27-year-old Grants Pass man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly damaged cars and fought with a police officer while handcuffed at the Jefferson State Hemp Expo near Williams.

Timothy A. Seaux had to be sedated by medical personnel and taken to a Grants Pass hospital before he was lodged early Sunday in the Josephine County Jail on charges of first-degree criminal mischief, assaulting a public-safety officer, menacing and resisting arrest, according to the Oregon State Police.

At about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, OSP troopers received a report of an aggressive, naked man damaging vehicles — including one with two frightened women inside — and starting fights at the Hemp Expo off Highway 238 south of Grants Pass, according to the OSP.

When two troopers arrived, they found four men restraining a naked and combative Seaux, who was taken into custody, police said. Seaux then kneed and kicked one of the troopers several times before he was placed in a patrol car, where he continued to kick violently, police said.

Medical personnel called to the scene concluded that Seaux had to be sedated before he was transported to Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass, where he was released and arrested later that morning, police said.

Seaux was being held this morning in jail on $15,000 bail.
