A man who was not wearing his seatbelt died in an early morning rollover crash east of Selma Sunday, Oregon State Police reported.
Updated 11:37 a.m. Lex Alan Johnson, 26, was found beneath a pickup that had rolled in the 6000 block of Deer Creek Road at 3 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene. OSP said the 1999 Ford F250 four-door had five people inside, including Johnson, while it traveled west. On a sharp left curve Johnson, who police determined was driving, lost control and the truck rolled off the road, coming to rest on its top.
Occupant Lucas Harris, 21, who was riding in the pickup's bed, was ejected. He was taken to Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass with non-life threatening injuries. The other three passengers reportedly were not injured, OSP said in a release.
The case remains under investigation by OSP.
