Southern Oregon University's Wind Ensemble will present “All American” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the Music Recital Hall on the SOU campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. The program will be an explorations of music from the late 20th century and its impact on contemporary American composers.

Southern Oregon University's Wind Ensemble will present “All American” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the Music Recital Hall on the SOU campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. The program will be an explorations of music from the late 20th century and its impact on contemporary American composers.

The program will include the premiere of music instructor Mark Jacobs' “321GO,” a composition that features the percussion section of the Wind Ensemble. Also look for Aaron Copland's "Quiet City," “Acrostic Song” by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer,David Del Tredici, “Candide Overture” by Leonard Bernstein, “Blue Shades” by Frank Ticheli and “Walls of Zion” by Greg Danner.

Tickets cost $10, $5 for seniors, and can be purchased at the Performing Arts box office in the Music Recital Hall, online at sou.edu/performingarts or by calling 541-552-6348. Full-time students get in free.
