Registration is open for the 2015 Women’s Leadership Conference, planned for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 15, at the Rogue Valley Country Club, 2660 Hillcrest Road, Medford.

Susan Ershler, author of "Together on Top of the World: The Remarkable Story of the First Couple to Climb the Fabled Seven Summits," kicks off the conference with a keynote address. Ershler tours the world speaking about her life journey and sharing with others her secrets for success, determination and achieving seemingly impossible goals. She will focus her remarks on “Reaching New Heights: How to Achieve the Impossible and Realize Your Dreams.”

During her 23-year corporate career, Ershler has held a series of increasingly responsible executive positions in the sales divisions of Fortune 500 companies. She led teams to sales records, beating quotas from $1 million to $600 million. Ershler shows audiences how hard work, dedication, perseverance and a total commitment to excellence can pay off in reaching seemingly impossible goals.

Breakout sessions are led by regional leaders whose goal is “to foster leadership in business, government, and nonprofit organizations that more fully reflects our community.” The sessions are designed to benefit young professionals, midlife women balancing family with work, and top-rung professionals.

Geneva Craig, a PhD., registered nurse and director of a local clinical nursing program, will share her story of overcoming odds to improve her life in the closing remarks. Born in Selma, Ala., during the time of segregation, Craig faced the social challenges of the South but was not deterred from pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse, all while facing the heartache and struggle of honoring family obligations. An active participant in the civil rights movement, Craig felt privileged to have been in the presence of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
