Power has been restored to Southern Oregon University following an early morning outage that affected the Ashland campus.

According to SOU spokesman Ryan Brown, power was lost early this morning after a malfunction at a local substation. Power was partially restored prior to 8 a.m. and fully restored sometime after 9:30 a.m. Due to the power outage, the start of classes was postponed until 10 a.m., and employees were told to report to work at 10 a.m. Administrative offices were scheduled to open at 10 a.m.
