CEO to discuss business websites founder and CEO Brandon Kirkland will discuss business websites Thursday, Jan. 14, at a gathering of the Women Entrepreneurs of Southern Oregon at Rogue Regency Inn, 2300 Biddle Road, Medford.

In a program titled "What Makes Your Website Work or Not Work?" Kirkland will talk about ways to better understand your target online market and reach it more successfully. The event will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Lunch talk will focus on SOU intern program

Jane Picknell, intern coordinator at Southern Oregon University, will discuss the advantages for local businesses and agencies of using business interns from SOU, from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at the RCC/SOU Higher Education Center, 101 S. Bartlett St., Medford.

The Lunch, Learn & Launch program, put on by the Small Business Development Center, is called "SOU Student Interns: How Your Business Benefits."

Picknell will talk about the types of projects and tasks best suited to interns, as well as how to apply to participate in the School of Business program, and the costs of hiring a student intern. Oversight is provided for the student at the place of assignment by a designated on-site supervisor.
