Jackson Welles Crawford, 76, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 in Medford, Ore. The native Californian but long-time Oregon resident was born in Merced, Calif. and grew up the in San Jose area.
He and Jane Thatcher married in Los Gatos, Calif. in 1961. He brought his family to Salem, Ore. in 1966 where he spent his long career as a graphic artist at the Statesman-Journal newspaper and the City of Salem, Community Development. Jack and Jane retired to Medford in 2004.
Jack leaves behind his wife and buddy of 55 years, Jane; brother, Steve Crawford and his wife, Irene; daughters, Kelly and Amy and son, Matt; their spouses, Amy, Darrell, and Theresa; devoted sister-in-law, Anna Crawford; six grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; adopted son, Cornell Garrett and his family; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
An informal memorial, open house, and celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 to say goodbye to a good man who loved his family, friends, and music.
