Victor Tatum, 90, of Medford, Oregon passed away January 31, 2017. Victor was the son of Toby and Myrtle Tatum, devoted husband to Ann Tatum, a caring father to six children and several grandchildren.
Victor served his country honorably in two branches of service, he was a United States Marine combat veteran of WWII – 5th Marine Division, Iwo Jima – tank and rifle platoons. Upon his honorable completion of military service, Victor returned to the U.S. and raised a family. He was the topic of many heartwarming conversations among those who knew him best.
A hero to many, he is survived by his sons, Jim and Victor; and his daughters, Carolyn, Debra, and Vicki.
Gone but never forgotten. We thank him for his lessons, guidance, humor, and faithful service to his family and country. He will be dearly missed. A military burial has been arranged. All who wish to honor this fallen warrior are invited to attend. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
