Acclaimed guest performers and a debut composition make up the Britt Orchestra's 2017 concert lineup.

Composer Kenji Bunch will debut a newly commissioned piece at the orchestra's season opener, which starts July 28, according to Teddy Abrams, Britt's music director and composer. Performances during the three-week concert season through Aug. 13 on Britt Hill will include guest solos from artists including renowned pianist Jeffrey Kahane and critically acclaimed cellist Joshua Roman. The orchestra consists of 90 members from orchestras across the country.

Lawn seating tickets have a lower price this year, $25 for adults and $10 for children, and go on sale to the public Monday, Feb. 13. The Aug. 6 Pop Night program, spotlighting composer John Williams' film scores, is $15 for reserved seating, $5 for lawn seating and $5 for children.

Mid-morning "BrittKids Koncerts" will return for the 2017 season, with listings and further information to be announced later this spring. Britt's full 2017 season will be announced Thursday, April 6.

Reserved seating for all orchestra performances is $49, and tickets go on sale to the general public at 9 a.m. May 12. For complete listings and updates call 541-773-6077 or see www.brittfest.org.
