Joe Johnson and Bryce Bramscher each scored 15 points as the St. Mary's boys basketball team defeated Rogue River, 53-32, in the Southern Cascade League finale at St. Mary's High on Saturday.

The Crusaders will next host a conference playoff contest at 7 p.m. Tuesday with the SCL's second state playoff berth at stake. The winner of that game will play regular-season league champion Cascade Christian at 7 p.m. Saturday at Cascade Christian High.

Defending 3A state champion St. Mary's has won three straight and seven of its last eight.

Bramscher added eight rebounds and Johnson canned four 3-pointers against the Chieftains, who trailed 21-11 after the first quarter and 31-13 at halftime.

Travis Danielson added four points and five rebounds for the Crusaders (11-11, 6-2 SCL), who finished in second place in the conference during the regular season.

Derek Pratt scored 13 points for Rogue River (4-17, 0-8).
