Felony arrests

Drugs — Emmett Norman Calhoun Jr., 31, of the 4200 block of Tioga Way, Central Point. Medford police Saturday arrested Calhoun on charges of possession of methamphetamine, failure to register his address as a sex offender and an out-of-county warrant for failure to appear on a charge of felon in possession of a weapon. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail and released due to overcrowding.

Drugs — Jose Carmen Espinoza, 41, of the 1800 block of West Eighth Street, Medford. Medford police Saturday arrested Espinoza on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was booked in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Elude — Shane Michael Durham, 27, of the 3300 block of Foots Creek Road, Gold Hill. Central Point police and Oregon State Police troopers Saturday arrested Durham on charges of two counts of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, two counts of reckless driving, two counts of endangering, and out-of-county warrants for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm and manufacturing marijuana. He was booked in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Elude — Justin Paul Stranberg, 34, of the 5000 block of Payne Road, Medford. Talent police Saturday arrested Stranberg on charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle and on foot, reckless driving and driving while suspended. He was booked in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Elude — Aaron Dale Eaton, 40 of the 100 block of Tripp Street, Medford. Medford and Eagle Point police Saturday arrested Eaton on charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, reckless driving and a parole violation for a charge of first-degree theft. He was lodged in jail on $12,500 bail.

Drugs — Amber Nicole Humphrey, 31, of the 100 block of Reager Street, Medford. Medord police Saturday arrested Humphrey on a charge of possession of heroin and for failure to appear on charges of second- and third-degree theft, two counts of possession methamphetamine and four counts of possession of heroin. She was booked in jail and released due to overcrowding.

Drugs — Christopher Dagan Hooper, 36, of the 2800 Ross Lane, Central Point. Medford police Saturday arrested Hooper on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and for failure to appear on charges of second-degree trespassing and four counts of possession of methamphetamine. He was booked in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Elude — Kara June Duran, 32, of the 1300 block of Beekman Avenue, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Duran on charges of two counts of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, two counts of reckless driving, a probation violation for possession of methamphetamine and for failure to appear on charges of second-degree theft, possession of heroin and methamphetamine, ID theft, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, providing false information to police and being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon. She was lodged in jail on $52,000 bail.

Sex offender registration — Billy James Parham, 55, of the 500 block of Putnam Street, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Parham on a charge of failure to register his address as a sex offender. He was booked in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Juan Gomez, 47, of the 0 block of Osprey Drive, Eagle Point. Eagle Point police Sunday arrested Gomez on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of oxycodone and contempt. He was lodged in jail on $17,500 bail.

Drugs — Jeffrey Larry Miller, 44, no known address. Medford police Sunday arrested Miller on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and for failure to appear on charges of third-degree theft and possession of heroin, methamphetamine, oxycodone and hydrocodone. He was booked in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Thomas Carl Ruth, 49, no known address. Medford police Sunday arrested Ruth on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, a probation violation for failure to register his address as a sex offender, and for failure to appear on charge of menacing. He was lodged in jail on $10,500 bail.

Drugs — Bryan Anthony Rahn, 33, no known address. Medford police Sunday arrested Rahn on charges of possession of methamphetamine and providing false information to police; a parole violation for distribution of heroin; and for violating the terms of his jail custody release agreement for a previous distribution of heroin conviction. He was lodged in jail on $12,500.

Crime reports

Theft — 2600 block of West Main Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 9:09 a.m. Saturday. A Dewalt power tool set, a Milwaukee power tool set, a Kobolt power tool set, two black Husky tool bags, several hand tools and a tool box with miscellaneous drill bits and screwdriver heads were reported stolen. The loss was valued at $1,950.

Theft — 200 block of Berrydale Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 5:25 p.m. Saturday. Three softball bats, a Mizuno softball glove, a pair of Nike cleats, several softballs, a Rawlings softball glove, a Mizuno batting bag and Mizuno batting gloves were reported stolen. The loss was valued at $1,125.
