August 4, 1944 - February 12, 2017

Ronald C. Ivens, of Medford, Oregon left his earthly body peacefully February 12, 2017 with his family beside him.

Born August 4, 1944, he was a man who loved sports and the outdoors. Growing up in North Bend, he could be found behind home plate as a catcher.

After high school, he joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant during the Vietnam Era. 

His adult life was spent in Medford where he owned a chainsaw company, a home construction company, and was later a department head at Home Depot. His greatest love, however, was officiating high school football and baseball games for 30-plus years.

He is survived by his beloved Joanne; three daughters, Doni Jo, Shawntai, and Tawnee; his two sons, Justin and Keith; 14 grand-children; and two great-grandchildren. 

A service will be held at noon Friday February 17 at Stephens Family Chapel located at 1629 Williams Hwy, Grants Pass, Ore., and is open to family and friends.
