'The All Night Strut'

This musical celebrates jazz, blues and bebop of the 1930s and '40s, weaving together the work of songwriters Hoagy Carmichael, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer and Charlie Parker. Look for such songs as "Chattanooga Choo Choo," "Lullaby of Broadway," "It Doesn't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)" and more. NW Dance Project

This Portland-based contemporary dance troupe, directed by Sarah Slipper, performs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. Left Edge Percussion

Southern Oregon University percussion ensemble Terry Longshore, Bryan Jeffs, Greyson Boydstun, Jared Brown, Joseph Tierney, Andrew Wright and Keven Younker will present "Headed Downtown," a program of music that embraces tonality and minimalism music by such "downtown" composers John Cage, Steve Reich and others of the 1960s, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, in the Music Recital Hall, 405 S. Mountain Ave., on the SOU campus in Ashland. The music is a reaction to the "uptown" music of such 12-tone composers as Arnold Schoenberg and Milton Babbitt. Little River Band

This Australian band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford.
