AGE: Manny, a 7-year-old, gray and brown Maine coon, has weathered some tough times, including a face injury that is healing nicely.

PERSONALITY: He’s an independent guy who likes his space, but he also craves attention and is quite affectionate with anyone he trusts.

HIGHLIGHTS: This splendid boy is a big fan of treats and catnip, and if you happen to be offering, he’s right there accepting. Manny will probably do best in a home with adults or older cat-savvy children. He’s an amazing kitty.

AVAILABLE: At the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Highway, between Talent and Phoenix, open 7 days a week.

COST: Manny’s adoption fee is $45 and includes a free wellness visit at a local veterinarian office. Manny is neutered.
