James M. and Gloria C. Neill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 8, 2017, with family and friends at the Eagles Lodge in Medford.

The gathering was organized by the couple's children James M. Neill III (wife Tammy) of Papillion, Nebraska; Troy A. Neill (wife Melissa) of Omaha, Nebraska; Cory S. Neill (wife Stephanie) of Trophy Club, Texas; and Raquell Y. Neill of Denver, Colorado. More than 150 people attended.

Jim and Gloria have lived in Medford for all but one year of their marriage, when they lived in Talent.

Jim Neill was born and raised in Ashland, where he went to school. When he returned from the Navy, he got a job at Kogap Lumber Co. and has worked in the woods ever since. He presently works for HM Inc.

Gloria Connie Lane graduated from Medford High in 1965 and worked for Jackson Pool, Bear Creek Corp., SOS, Safeway, Medford Corp. and then seasonally at Bear Creek Corp., allowing her to be a mother and raise her family.

Gloria and Jim got married April 8, 1967, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Their four children all attended Jefferson Elementary, McLoughlin Middle and South Medford High. The couple have five grandchildren. They are planning a trip to Cancun, Mexico, with all of their children and grandchildren this month.
