AGE: Bailey is a handsome 9-year-old boy who is looking for a home to spend his golden years. Please don't pass him up because of his age, because there are many benefits to adopting a senior dog.

PERSONALITY: He doesn't need much in the way of exercise, just an occasional stroll around the block and he's a happy fella. He is house-trained, already knows some commands and is well mannered.

HIGHLIGHTS: He loves to lounge at your feet and take a nap or chew on a bone. And best of all, he still has a lot of love to give. All he needs is a home that understands the needs of a senior gentleman — arthritis, poor hearing and all. Although he still gets around OK, he will likely benefit from arthritis meds to reduce pain and inflammation in his legs for his remaining years. At his age, he prefers no small dogs or cats.

AVAILABLE: At the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Hwy., between Talent and Phoenix, open 7 days a week.

COST: Bailey’s adoption fee is $95, and includes a free in-home training and a wellness visit at a local veterinarian office. Bailey is neutered.
