AGE: Harold is a very handsome, 2-year-old, 70-pount mastiff with a soulful face that is hard to resist.

PERSONALITY: This nice boy is most comfortable with a female owner without kids. He is calm and gentle and is crate-trained to keep him out of trouble when you’re not home.

HIGHLIGHTS: Harold loves walks (still needs a little training), car rides and playing with other young dogs his size. He lives nicely with other large dogs and dog-friendly cats, but will chase livestock and squirrels.

AVAILABLE: At the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Highway, between Talent and Phoenix, open 7 days a week. Call foster mom Barbara at 541-890-2308 for a meet and greet.

COST: Harold’s adoption fee is $105, and includes a free in-home, one-hour training and a wellness visit at a local veterinarian office. Harold is neutered.
