Felony arrests

Drugs — Rudolph Edward Ortiz, 33, of the 100 block of Portland Avenue, Medford. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Ortiz Monday on additional felony charges of manufacturing, distributing and possessing methamphetamine and three felony counts of felon in possession of a firearm. Ortiz was originally arrested Oct. 28 for violating his parole on a previous heroin manufacture conviction. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday without bail.

Drugs — Sean Saipani Eli, 24, no known address. Medford police arrested Eli Sunday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on a sanction for violating his probation on a previous meth possession charge. He was lodged in jail Sunday without bail.

Drugs — Gerald Andrew Frigaard, 33, no known address. Medford police arrested Frigaard Sunday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespassing. He was booked in the jail Sunday and released Monday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Joshua Michael Sadler, 27, of the 1500 block of Bryant Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Sadler Monday on felony charges of possessing methamphetamine and distributing heroin, and on a misdemeanor charge of felon in possessing of a restricted weapon. He was booked in the jail and released Monday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Angela Ray Peters, 23, no known address. Medford police arested Peters Monday on felony charges of possessing heroin and a Schedule II controlled substance, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing heroin and methamphetamine, second-degree theft and theft of services. She was booked in the jail and released Monday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Shauntai Destiney Marie Halliday, 25, no known address. Medford police arrested Halliday Monday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing methamphetamine and heroin, first-degree trespassing and third-degree theft. She was booked in the jail and released Monday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Teresa Ann McInroy, 50, no known address. Medford police arrested McInroy Monday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of violating a no-contact order. She was lodged in jail Monday without bail.

Criminal Mischief — Joshua Scott Ales, 37, no known address. Eagle Point police and Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Ales Monday on felony charges of first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree theft, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and attempting to elude police on foot and second-degree burglary, misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, second-degree trespassing, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of fourth-degree assault, harassment and second-degree theft. He was lodged in jail Monday on $80,000 bail.

Drugs — Adrienne Elaine Strange, 28, of the 600 block of Kings Court, Central Point. Medford police arrested Strange Monday on felony charges of possessing heroin and methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail and released Monday because of overcrowding.

Attempted Assault — Eric Ivan Ramirez, 25, of the first block of Jeanette Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Ramirez Monday on felony charges of attempted first-degree assault and attempted second-degree assault, distributing marijuana to a minor and unlawful use of a weapon, misdemeanor charges of menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct, and on a sanction for violating his probation on a previous third-degree assault conviction. He was lodged in jail Monday without bail.

Impaired Driving — Jill Christine Cano, 39, of the 900 block of Hampton Way, Medford. Medford police arrested Cano Tuesday on a felony charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants. She was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on her own recognizance.

Burglary — Apiolefaga Ah Sam, 49, no known address. Medford police arrested Ah Sam Tuesday on felony charges of first-degree burglary and attempted first-degree burglary, and on misdemeanor charges of menacing and second-degree trespassing. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $37,500 bail.

Drugs — David Lee Nelson, 25, Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Nelson Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing heroin and on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous heroin possession charge. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Yovani Espana, 24, of the 3700 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police arrested Espana Tuesday on felony warrants for distributing and possessing methamphetamine and heroin, a misdemeanor charge of first-degree trespassing, misdemeanor warrants for resisting arrest and interfering with police, a warrant for failing to appear in court on previous charges of failing to register as a sex offender and possessing methamphetamine, and on out-of-county warrants for failing to appear in court on charges of attempting to elude police, reckless driving and reckless endangering. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $80,000 bail.

Burglary — Robin Lorraine Carson, 38, of the 4200 block of Tami Lane, Central Point. On Tuesday, Carson made her initial court appearance on felony charges of first-degree burglary and theft of services, and misdemeanor charges of first-degree trespassing and second-degree criminal mischief. She was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on her own recognizance.

Elude — Michael James Horner, 45, of the 3600 block of Springbrook Road, Medford. On Tuesday, Horner made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, and on misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and reckless endangering. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Maria Louise Jones, 38, of the 100 block of Reager Street, Medford. On Tuesday, Reager made her initial court appearance on felony charges of possessing heroin and methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on her own recognizance.

Vehicle Theft — William Joseph Paris Shepard, 28, no known address. Medford police arrested Shepard Tuesday on felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possessing methamphetamine, and for violating his parole on a previous third-degree rape conviction. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Drugs — Michael Ray Provencio, 34, no known address. Medford police arrested Provencio Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and for violating his parole on a weapons charge. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Vehicle Theft — Christopher Eugene Stegeman, 28, no known address. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Stegeman Tuesday on felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $15,000 bail.

Sex Offender Registration — Miguel Francisco Villa, 28, no known address. Medford police arrested Villa Tuesday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender, misdemeanor charges of second-degree trespassing, second-degree disorderly conduct and harassment, and for violating his parole on a previous first-degree burglary conviction. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

 

Crime reports

Theft — 300 block of Lowry Lane, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 7:57 a.m. Monday in which $2,000 worth of commercial 12-volt batteries were reported stolen, as well as battery cables and keys to a city-owned golf cart. The loss was valued at $2,125.

Theft — 200 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in at 8:48 a.m. Monday. An HP laptop computer with charger and 10-inch Amazon Kindle Fire tablet in a cloth case were reported stolen. The loss was valued at $1,200.

Theft — 1400 block of Yellowstone Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen jewelry at 1:01 p.m. Monday. The loss was valued at $8,850.

Theft — 2200 block of Delta Waters Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 7:03 a.m. Tuesday. Items reported stolen included a Honda generator and blue camping canopy. The loss and damage to three padlocks was valued at $1,114.
