Felony arrests

Contraband — Breana Leigh Franklin, 38, no known address. Medford police arrested Franklin Monday on felony charges of supplying contraband, manufacturing, distributing and possessing heroin, a misdemeanor charge of second-degree possessing a forged instrument, warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of aggravated identity theft, meth possession and second-degree theft, and on a sanction for violating his probation on a previous aggravated identity theft charge. She remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday without bail.

Elude — Jessica Dawn Stowell, 33, of the 500 block of G Street, Jacksonville. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Stowell Monday on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, and on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, hit-and-run and reckless driving. She was booked in the jail Monday and released Tuesday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Martinez Thomas, 63, of the 600 block of North Grape Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Thomas Monday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on misdemeanor charges of first-degree trespassing, theft of services and second-degree criminal mischief. He was booked in the jail Monday and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Leanna Renee Hampton, 30, no known address. Medford police arrested Hampton Monday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, misdemeanor charges of second-degree trespassing and theft of services, and on out-of-county warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing methamphetamine and third-degree theft. She was booked in the jail Tuesday and released Wednesday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Allan Michael Scott Florea, 21, no known address. Medford police arrested Florea Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous counts of possessing methamphetamine and second-degre trespassing. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday because of overcrowding.

Unlawful Use of a Weapon — Justin Daniel Lopez, 21, of the 200 block of Mac Court, Central Point. On Tuesday, Lopez made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on felony charges of unlawful use of a weapon and attempting to elude police in a vehicle, and on misdemeanor charges of menacing, reckless driving and pointing a firearm at another. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Vehicle Theft — Isaac Phillip Escoto, 22, of the 1000 block of North Ross Lane, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Escoto Tuesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor charge of interfering with police, warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing and distributing heroin and on a warrant for violating his probation on a previous heroin possession conviction. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday because of overcrowding.

Sex Offender Registration — Brett Daniel Nichols, 56, no known address. Medford police arrested Nichols Tuesday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender, a misdemeanor warrant charging him with failing to register as a sex offender on his birthday, warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of failing to register his address as a sex offender and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $25,500 bail.

Drugs — Joanne Baritua Taylor, 38, no known address. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Taylor Tuesday on felony charges of manufacturing, distributing and possessing heroin. She was lodged in jail Tuesday on $81,428 bail.

Drugs — Joshua William Taylor, 33, no known address. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Taylor Tuesday on felony charges of manufacturing, distributing and possessing heroin, warrants for failing to appear in court on charges of first-degree burglary, possessing methamphetamine and heroin, first- and second-degree theft, second-degree trespassing, reckless endangering and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $136,000 bail.

Drugs — David Jonathan Smith, 34, no known address. Medford police arrested Smith Tuesday on felony charges of possessing methamphetamine and a Schedule II controlled substance, for violating his parole on a previous meth-distribution conviction and on a previous sentence for possessing more than four ounces of marijuana. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Medford police arrested Jennings Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, felony warrants for identity theft and on a sanction for violating his probation on a previous heroin possession conviction. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Drugs — Joshua Dean Lines, 31, no known address. Medford police arrested Lines Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespassing and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing heroin, possessing meth, first- and second-degree theft. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Assaulting an Officer — Brandi Violet Arbouin, 39, no known address. Medford police arrested Arbouin Tuesday on a felony charge of assaulting a police officer and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree disorderly conduct. She was lodged in jail Tuesday on $10,000 bail.

Crime report

Theft — 900 block of Alba Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 8:20 a.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included about 300 CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs, tan orthotic shoes, two DVD and Blu-ray players, a CD player, a cell phone, miscellaneous inhalers, food and toiletries. The loss was valued at $2,078.

Theft — 1000 block of West Fourth Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen medium sized bicycle at 11:29 a.m. Monday. The loss was valued at $1,500.

Theft — 500 block of Rossanley Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a building at 11:43 a.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included three tires fitting a 2015 Subaru Legacy. The loss and damage to a chain link fence was valued at $1,250.

Theft — 1300 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen piccolo. The loss was valued at $1,400.
