It's expected to get windy in the Rogue Valley tonight and tomorrow, with snow possible in the mountains.

A wind advisory is in effect from 5 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Wednesday, according to a National Weather Service bulletin. South winds of up to 30 mph with 50 mph gusts are forecast. Peak wind speeds are expected tonight, though gusty weather is expected to stay throughout the day Wednesday.

The south portion of the Rogue Valley, including Ashland, Talent and Phoenix, is expected to be hit the hardest.

Snow levels in the Cascades are expected to be 5,500 feet Tuesday, dropping to 3,500 feet by Wednesday night.

Another front is expected later in the week, with more rain, snow and wind.
