Felony arrests

Coercion — John Seymour Billings, 48, of the 2800 block of La Mirada Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Billings Tuesday on an additional felony charge of coercion, and on misdemeanor charges of strangulation, fourth-degree assault and harassment. Medford police originally arrested Billings Tuesday on a felony charge of first-degree rape. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Wednesday on $250,000 bail.

Vehicle Theft — Todd William Genaw, 38, of the 6100 block of Tolo Road, Central Point. Jackson County Sheriff's deputies arrested Genaw Wednesday  on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and on a misdemeanor charge of unlawfully entering a motor vehicle. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Tyler John Chicano, 23, no known address. Medford police arrested Chicano Wednesday on felony charges of possessing methamphetamine and heroin. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Darlene Jeanette Almaraz, 29, of the 500 block of Mae Street, Medford. On Wednesday, Almaraz made her initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on her own recognizance.

Criminal Mischief — Zachary Todd Hallen, 19, of the 400 block of Teakwood Drive, Eagle Point. On Wednesday, Hallen made his initial court appearance on felony charges of first-degree criminal mischief and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and on a misdemeanor charge of providing false information to police. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.

Burglary — Jacob William Westley Franklin Sexton, 19, no known address. On Wednesday, Sexton made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of second-degree burglary and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree criminal mischief. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.

Theft — Brandon Thomas Hoage, 31, no known address. Medford police arrested Hoage Wednesday on five felony counts of first-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.

Assault — Jacob Michael Sanford, 20, of the 300 block of Luman Road, Phoenix. Medford police arrested Sanford Wednesday on felony charges of second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. He was lodged in jail Wednesday on $107,500 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 1300 block of East Main Street, Medford.  Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in at 6:32 a.m. Monday.  Items reported stolen included R22 refrigerant, an acetylene torch tank, a vacuum pump, hand tools, a voltmeter, ammeter and gauges. The loss and damage to the vehicle passenger window was valued at $2,425.

Theft — 3200 block of Delta Waters Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 12:11 p.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included a Milwaukee drill set, an air compressor, Skilsaw and Hitachi coil nailer. The loss was valued at $1,150.

Theft — 500 block of Spencer Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of two stolen DiamondBack bicycles at 11:30 p.m. Monday. The loss was valued at $1,200.

Theft — 2500 block of Bethany Court, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 5:39 a.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a blue mountain bike, a radio-controlled car and controller, radio-controlled quadcopter and controller, airsoft rifles and a motorcycle jacket and helmet. The loss was valued at $1,880.

Theft — 1200 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 1:54 p.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a 1½ carat 10-diamond anniversary ring, a diamond pendant heart necklace, a mens wedding ring and a cell phone case. The loss was valued at $3,050.
