Felony arrests

Drugs — Guillermo Ishtar Guitron III, 25, of the 3000 block of Cummings Lane, Medford. Medford police arrested Guitron Friday on an additional felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. Medford police originally arrested Guitron Thursday on a felony charge of possessing heroin and for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing and distributing cocaine and possessing meth. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Thursday on $42,000 bail.

Unlawful Use of a Weapon — Charles Anthony Mott Jr., 32, of the 600 block of Siskiyou Boulevard, Ashland. Ashland police arrested Mott Thursday on a felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon, and on misdemeanor charges of menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct. He was booked in the jail Thursday and released Friday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Timothy James Boyd, 30, of the 1800 block of Crater lake Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Boyd Thursday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and for violating his parole on a previous first-degree burglary conviction. He remained lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Brian Edward Smith, 35, no known address. Phoenix police arrested Smith Thursday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing methamphetamine, and on a misdemeanor warrant for carrying a concealed dangerous weapon. He was booked in the jail Thursday and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Alex Roy Martinez, 42, no known address. Medford police arrested Martinez Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and for violating his parole on a previous meth-possession conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Michael R. Thacker, 35, of the 1300 block of West Main Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Thacker Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespassing and for violating his parole on a previous coercion conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Michael Eric Casteneda, 23, no known address. Medford police arrested Castaneda Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and for violating his parole on a previous meth-distribution conviction. He remained lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Theft — Jason Charles Castro, 33, of the 6900 block of Lakeview Drive, Central Point. On Friday, Castro made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of first-degree theft and a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance. 

Drugs — Jennith Kay Holmes, 62, no known address. Phoenix police arrested Holmes Friday on a felony warrant charging her with possessing methamphetamine, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing meth, driving under the influence of intoxicants and second-degree trespassing. She was lodged in jail Friday on $35,000 bail.

Aggravated Theft — Jayse Taylor Damon, 26, no known address. Central Point police arrested Damon Friday on felony charges of aggravated first-degree theft, first-degree burglary and felon in possession of a firearm, and on misdemeanor charges of interfering with police, first-degree trespassing, carrying a concealed firearm, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree disorderly conduct. He was lodged in jail Friday on $60,000 bail.

Drugs — Thomas Edward Reha, 57, no known address. Medford police arrested Reha Friday on felony charges of manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school and possessing meth. He was lodged in jail Friday on more than $1 million bail.

Assault — Julius Lee Jackson, 28, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Jackson Friday on an out-of-county felony warrant charging him with second-degree assault. He was lodged in jail Friday on $50,000 bail.

Identity Theft — Molly Marissa Cherish Reed, 19, of the 1300 block of Quincy Street, Ashland. On Friday, Reed made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of identity theft and a misdemeanor second-degree theft charge. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Mary Jeanette Hayes, 46, no known address. Medford police arrested Hayes on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor charge of felon in possession of a restricted weapon and for violating her federal probation. She was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Alexander J. Owens, 22, no known address. Medford police arrested Owens Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing heroin, possessing meth, first-, second- and third-degree theft, carrying a concealed dangerous weapon and first- and second-degree trespassing. He was lodged in jail Friday on $200,500 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 300 block of North Central Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in at 10:45 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 smartphone, wristwatch, sunglasses and a phone charger. The loss and damage to the vehicle's rear driver-side window was valued at $1,045.

Burglary — 2500 block of Waters Edge Way, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 1:31 p.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a Mi-T-M pressure washer and DeWalt miter saw. The loss was valued at $1,300.

Lost Property — 1000 block of Black Oak Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of two missing rings including a single-diamond engagement ring. The loss was valued at $1,300.

Theft — First block of North Fir Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 11:05 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included a Kimber .45 1911 Compact handgun, Maui Jim sunglasses, a Ward knife with blue giraffe bone handle, a bone-handle Boker knife, a Verizon 10-inch tablet, a raw leather folder and a Buck diving knife. The loss was valued at $4,220.

Theft — 800 block of Ellendale Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 11:33 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included clothing, a Guess wallet, Guess purse and Acer laptop. The loss and damage to the vehicle was valued at $2,200.
