The U.S. Postal Service office in Medford will hold an event for customers seeking to get their passport affairs in order.

The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at the post office, 325 S. Riverside Ave., according to a news release.

Attendees wanting to participate are encouraged to make an appointment by calling 503-294-2350, available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Appointments are limited, so those interested are advised to call as soon as possible.

Required documentation includes identification proving U.S. citizenship such as a previously issued, undamaged U.S. passport or birth certificate, and one additional current ID, such as a valid driver's license or current government ID.

Passport photographs will be available for $15.

A passport books costs $135 for anyone 16 and older and $105 for anyone 16 and younger. Passport cards cost $55 or $40 for the same respective age ranges.

Applicants are encouraged to print and complete applications ahead of time to make the process more efficient. Application forms can be found online at www.usps.com/passport. The form should not be signed, as the passport acceptance clerk must witness the signing.
