La Clinica has filled two top administrative roles. Jill Borovansky will become chief financial officer in July, and Justin Adams, is the organization's new chief medical officer. Borovansky, a former Harry & David finance executive, will replace Angelica Ruppe, who has served as La Clinica’s finance chief since 1994. Ruppe is leaving to visit Africa on a humanitarian mission. Adams replaces Ken Rhee, who had served since 2008. Rhee is semi-retired but continues to see patients. Borovansky was most recently finance and chief accounting officer and corporate controller for Harry & David, where she worked between 2012 and 2017 and between 2001 and 2008, in accounting management and financial analysis positions. She was an auditor for Deloitte and a consultant for Arthur Anderson, both financial services firms in Portland, and worked at PremierWest Bank. She is a certified public accountant and earned an MBA from Southern Oregon University. Adams has been a family physician at La Clinica since 2012, and will continue that work while heading the organization’s medical services. He was first at La Clinica's Central Point Health Center and transferred to the Wellness Center in Medford in 2015.

 

Rogue Credit Union has appointed Peter Angstadt, retired Rogue Community College president, as an associate board member. Prior to his stint with RCC, he was chief financial officer for Clackamas Community College and mayor in Pocatello, Idaho. RCU has named Alex Palm, a civil engineer from Roseburg, as its Douglas County board representative. Asante Finance Director Mark Collins has retired from the RCU board.

 

Kate Morris has joined Hamlin Real Estate as a broker. Morris, a sixth-generation Ashland native, has a leadership role in her family’s business, Oak Street Tank & Steel, which has operated in the Ashland area since 1923. After graduating from Oregon State University, Morris pursued a career in educational fundraising. For 10 years she raised money for various scholarships and programs at Oregon State University, Willamette University and San Francisco State University.

 

Bill Boehning has been named Chief Development Officer at Pacific Bible College. He oversees the school's development, finance, and technology. He has been Managing Partner of Boehning & Partners in Raleigh, N.C., and Medford for the past nine years, consulting in sales and marketing, business development, and financial services. He has also had stints with Edenshare.com, Charter Communications, Assisted Living Concepts. Previously, he was with IBM for 13 years in Chicago and Raleigh. He is Chairman of the Rogue Book Exchange Board and Vice Chairman of the Medford Housing and Community Development Commission.
