Felony arrests

Drugs — Amanda Torres, 31, of the 2400 block of West McAndrews Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Torres Sunday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, and on misdemeanor warrants charging her with failing to appear in court on previous charges of distributing, manufacturing and possessing heroin, supplying contraband, possessing methamphetamine, first-degree possessing a forged instrument and felon in possession of a restricted weapon. She remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Monday on $80,000 bail.

Assault — Neal Howard Stillwell, 48, of the 600 block of Rogue River Highway, Rogue River. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Stillwell Sunday on felony counts of fourth-degree assault and strangulation, and a misdemeanor charge of harassment. He remained lodged in jail Monday on $20,000 bail.

Vehicle Theft — Dawn Marie McKnight, 31, no known address. Medford police arrested McKnight Monday on felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possessing heroin. She was booked in the jail and released Monday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Naseef Elias Ashker, 25, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Ashker Monday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and for violating his probation on previous charges of possessing methamphetamine, fourth-degree assault, menacing and resisting arrest. He was lodged in jail Monday on $22,500 bail.

Assault — Mike E. Bechler, 40, of the 600 block of Brandi Way, Eagle Point. Eagle Point police and Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Bechler Monday on two felony counts of fourth-degree assault, on misdemeanor charges of harassment, reckless endangering, and contempt of court for violating a no-contact order , and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of fourth-degree assault, interfering with someone making a police report, harassment and violating a no-contact order. He was lodged in jail Monday on $65,000 bail.

Drugs — William Donal Syvertsen, 46, no known address. Medford police arrested Syvertsen Monday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. He was lodged in jail Monday on $7,500 bail.

Drugs — Dawn Marie Richardson, 48, of the 2400 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford. On Monday, Richardson made her initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail and released Monday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Benjamin Frederick Rowland, 38, no known address. Medford police arrested Rowland Monday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, first-degree theft, attempted first-degree theft and third-degree theft. He was lodged in jail Monday on $32,500 bail.

Crime report

Burglary — 1300 block of Siskiyou Boulevard, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 10:50 a.m. Sunday. Items reported were assorted jewelry including a white gold diamond solitaire engagement ring, three guns and a laptop computer. The loss and damage to the home's sliding door was valued at $4,005.
