Felony arrests

Hit-and-run — Joseph Edward Eivers, 48, no known address. Ashland police arrested Eivers Thursday on felony charges of failing to perform the duties of a driver to an injured person and third-degree assault, and on a misdemeanor charge of reckless endangering. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail Thursday and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Sex Offender Registration — Robert David Smith, 43, no known address. Medford police arrested Smith Thursday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender, and on an out-of-county warrant for violating his parole on a previous meth-possession conviction. He remained lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Joshua Michael Sadler, 28, of the 100 block of Fern Valley Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Sadler Thursday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing heroin, and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of distributing and possessing heroin, possessing methamphetamine and felon in possession of a restricted weapon. He remained lodged in jail Friday on $30,000 bail.

Drugs — Haley Renee Keller, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Keller Thursday on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin and possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor charge of possessing a Schedule III controlled substance, on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin, possessing cocaine, possessing methamphetamine, possessing hydrocodone, first-degree possessing a forged instrument, felon in possession of a restricted weapon and interfering with police, and for violating her parole on a heroin-possession conviction. She remained lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Robbery — Angel Robert Guadarrama, 25, no known address. Medford police arrested Guadarrama Friday on a felony charge of third-degree robbery, misdemeanor charges of third-degree theft and harassment, and on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous third-degree theft charge. He was lodged in jail Friday on $20,000 bail.

Drugs — Ira Matthew Ponder, 20, no known address. Medford police arrested Ponder Friday on a felony count of possessing heroin. He was lodged in jail Friday on $10,000 bail.

Drugs — Gabriel Wayne Paxton, 38, no known address. Medford police arrested Paxton Friday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing methamphetamine, and on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of second-degree theft. He was lodged in jail Friday on $10,500 bail.

Drugs — Rachel Nicole Simon, 21, no known address. On Friday, Simon made her initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of possessing heroin and three misdemeanor counts of second-degree theft. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance.

Assault — Christopher Lee King, 28, of the 1300 block of Spring Street, Medford. Medford police arrested King Friday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault and on a misdemeanor charge of interfering with someone making a police report. He was lodged in jail Friday on $15,000 bail.

Assault — Jarret Bran Austin, 27, of the 800 block of Chestnut Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Austin Friday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault. He was lodged in jail Friday on $7,500 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 1500 block of Stardust Way, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen muzzle-load gun and another firearm at 9:25 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $1,000.

Theft — 800 block of East Jackson Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of motor vehicle theft at 12:09 a.m. Friday. Items inside the vehicle included a radar detector, a nail bag belt, three sledgehammers and two levels. The loss was valued at $1,050.

Theft — 900 block of Alba Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 6:59 a.m. Friday. Four bags containing miscellaneous riding gear and camping gear were reported stolen. The loss was valued at $1,800.
