A semi truck hauling scrap metal has crashed in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near exit 30, closing the southbound onramp.

Traffic has slowed to a crawl near the site, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation. Both southbound lanes were temporarily blocked but have since been cleared and reopened, but drivers in the area should still prepare for delays and consider alternate routes.

The crash happened at 1:09 p.m., according to dispatch records. Information on injuries was not immediately available.
