Felony arrests

Drugs — Johnny David Wood, 27, of the 600 block of Kings Court, Central Point. Jackson County Circuit Court arrested Wood Tuesday on additional felony charges of delivering and possessing heroin, possessing methamphetamine, attempting to elude police in a vehicle, and on new misdemeanor charges of providing false information to police and reckless driving.  Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies originally arrested Wood June 19 on a felony charge of first-degree theft. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday without bail.

Drugs — Nicholas Paul Gomez, 31, no known address. Medford police arrested Gomez Monday on felony charges of delivering and possessing heroin, a misdemeanor charge of interfering with police, a warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of interfering with police and for violating his parole on a previous unauthorized use of a motor vehicle conviction. He remained lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Drugs — Jacob Carl Lyon, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Lyon Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing methamphetamine, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on a previous charges of felon in possession of a restricted weapon and third-degree theft. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $12,500 bail.

Elude — Tommy Dwayne Prestage, 48, of the 600 block of North River Road, Rogue River. Rogue River police arrested Prestage Tuesday on felony charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle and reckless driving. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $12,500 bail.

Driving While Suspended — Florentino Martinez-Diaz, 73, of the 6200 block of Ventura Lane, Central Point. Medford police arrested Martinez-Diaz Wednesday on a felony charge of driving while suspended. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $10,000 bail.

Drugs — Jason Dale Campbell, 46, of the 500 block of South Grape Street, Medford. On Tuesday, Campbell made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Theft — Tawny Marie Swindall, 28, no known address. On Tuesday, Swindall made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of first-degree theft. She was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Steven Michael Stone, 43, of the 10500 block of Hannon Road, Eagle Point. On Tuesday, Stone made his initial appearance on a methamphetamine-possession charge. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Daniel Weston Hartz, 54, of the 1200 block of Sunset Avenue, Medford. On Tuesday, Hartz made his initial appearance on felony charges of delivering, manufacturing and possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Jonathan Zachary Frohreich, 27, of the 6000 block of Coleman Creek Road, Medford. On Tuesday, Frohreich made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing heroin. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Vehicle Theft — Jake Cody Compton, 27, of the 700 block of Sarah Park Circle, Eagle Point. Medford police arrested Compton Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $7,500 bail.

Assault — Derrick Earl Shields, 28, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Shields Tuesday on felony warrants charging him with first-, second- and third-degree assault, first- and second-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and aggravated first-degree theft. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $500,000 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 2300 block of Veronica Way, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in at 7:40 a.m. Monday. A Kenwood touchscreen car stereo unit was reported stolen. The loss and damage to the driver-side window and dashboard was valued at $1,200.

Theft — 2000 block of Commerce Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:50 a.m. Monday. A set of wheels and tires were reported stolen off a truck, and the vehicle was damaged after it hit the ground. The loss and damage was valued at $4,000.

Theft — 3100 block of Alameda Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in at 6:18 a.m. Tuesday. Two black suitcases containing clothing and other items were reported stolen. The loss and damage to the window was valued at $1,350.

Theft — 3500 block of Cherry Lane, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday. Items reported stolen included a five-ruby and five-diamond channel-set anniversary ring, a white gold ring with blue topaz and chocolate diamond stones, an antique wedding band, Coach wallets, an iPad and two pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses. The loss was valued at $5,950.
