First Presbyterian Church, Medford
Pastor Murray Richmond will speak at both the 8:30 a.m. informal service and the 10:30 a.m. traditional service at 85 South Holly St., Medford. The informal service features more contemporary music led by the Son Shine Singers in a casual atmosphere. The traditional service features the Schoenstein pipe organ music in a formal sanctuary. Special music will be “God So Loved the World” by the Stainer Sextet. There will be a postlude featuring the pipe organ titled “The God of Abraham Praise” setting by Michael Burkhardt. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Central Point
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is organizing two projects during its annual day of service, scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 16. Volunteers will work on the IOOF Eastwood Cemetery in Medford and on the Butte Creek Trail that runs through downtown Eagle Point.
