Felony arrests

Hit-and-run — Marcelino Manuel Chavez, 34, no known address. Medford police arrested Chavez Friday on a felony charge of failing to perform the duties of a driver to an injured person, and on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and second-degree criminal mischief. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Saturday on $22,500 bail.

Drugs — Gary Allen Bridges, 52, no known address. Medford police arrested Bridges Friday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing methamphetamine, and on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous meth-possession charge. He remained lodged in jail Saturday on $15,000 bail.

Theft — Troy Aaron Behnke, 22, of the 5000 block of South Pacific Highway, Phoenix. Medford police arrested Behnke Friday on a felony charge of first-degree theft and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. He remained lodged in jail Saturday on $12,500 bail.

Robbery — Paul Scott Brewer Jr., 43, of the first block of Cedar Avenue, Butte Falls. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Brewer Saturday on felony charges of first- and second-degree robbery and unlawful use of a weapon, on misdemeanor charges of menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct and on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a contempt charge. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $217,500 bail.

Drugs — John Wayne Bartlett, 52, no known address. Medford police arrested Bartlett Saturday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, a felony warrant for possessing meth, a misdemeanor charge of tampering with evidence and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing meth and menacing. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $45,500 bail.

Coercion — Gary Aaron Allen, 57, of the 600 block of Royal Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Allen Saturday on a felony charge of coercion, and on misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault, harassment and strangulation. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $22,500 bail.

Drugs — Heather Rene Ulrey, 31, no known address. Medford police arrested Ulrey Saturday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a felony meth-possession warrant. She was lodged in jail Saturday on $15,000 bail.

Burglary — Tieya Symone Swift, 19, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Swift Saturday on a felony charge of first-degree burglary, a felony warrant charging her with first-degree theft, and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous meth-possession and heroin-possession charges.  She was lodged in jail Saturday on $37,500 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 5200 block of Crater Lake Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a break-in to a travel trailer at 11:30 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included two Hisense TVs, two Sony DVD players and a Sony home theater soundbar. The loss and damage to the trailer was valued at $1,002.

Theft — 1300 block of Justice Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen 4-foot by 15-foot homemade utility trailer at 3:33 p.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $1,500.

Vandalism — 200 block of Cottage Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a vehicle in which sugar was added to its fuel tank. The damage to the vehicle was valued at $1,000.
