Jackson County Windermere Real Estate offices are collecting children's coats that will be distributed to area schools for children in need of warm winter clothing.

In partnership with KDRV-TV, the real estate agency is collecting new and "gently used" child-sized coats. Windermere brokers, staff and owners will pick up the donations, take them to cleaners and then deliver them to schools. The drive continues through Oct. 19.

Coats can be dropped off at Windermere offices in Medford, Ashland, Eagle Point, Jacksonville, Rogue River, Shady Cove and Grants Pass. For more information, see wreevents.com/coatsforkids.

“This drive is a fantastic opportunity to make sure children in our community stay warm in the fall and winter. As last year’s rough winter taught us, keeping our community safe and healthy is a huge concern, and gathering these coats is a big step in that direction,” John Zupan, principal broker at Windermere Van Vleet & Associates, said in a press release.
