Felony arrests

Drugs — Vickie Ann Knight, 38, no known address. Phoenix police arrested Knight Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on two prior meth-possession charges. She was booked in the Jackson County Jail and released Friday because of overcrowding.

Impaired Driving — Harris James Lewis, 35, of Klamath Falls. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Lewis Friday on a felony charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants and on out-of-county warrants charging him with attempting to elude a police officer, interfering with police, resisting arrest and on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous driving under the influence of intoxicants charge. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Impaired Driving — Joshua Dean Schmidt, 41, of the 200 block of Donna Way, Central Point. Medford police arrested Schmidt Friday on a felony charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants and on misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and third-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in jail Friday on $25,000 bail.

Vehicle Theft — Jarrod Edward Garwood, 35, of the 5200 block of East Evans Creek Road, Rogue River. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Garwood Friday on felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and attempting to elude police in a vehicle, a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree burglary conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Burglary — Christopher Eugene Stegeman, 29, of the 700 block of Crater Lake Avenue, Medford. On Friday, Stegeman made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on felony charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree theft and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Assault — Anna Liese Amundson, 32, of the 900 block of Shafer Lane, Medford. Medford police arrested Amundson Friday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault and a misdemeanor charge of harassment. She was lodged in jail Friday on $12,500 bail.

Drugs — Jeremy Victor Carvajal, 30, no known address. Medford police arrested Carvajal Friday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing heroin, and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of third-degree assault and first-degree burglary. He was lodged in jail Friday on $50,000 bail.

Sex-Offender Registration — Robin Stewart Dowell, 63, no known address. Medford police arrested Dowell Friday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender. He was lodged in jail Friday on $7,500 bail.

Drugs — Ashley Marie Auger, 30, no known address. Eagle Point police arrested Auger Friday on a felony warrant charging her with possessing heroin, on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing heroin and methamphetamine and for violating her parole on a prior meth-delivery conviction. She was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 2100 block of Poplar Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 10:52 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a partial dental implant and a 52-inch Element TV. The loss was valued at $2,600.

Theft — 500 block of Stevens Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 4:16 p.m. Thursday. Two pairs of Rock Revival jeans were reported stolen. The loss was valued at $150.
