An advisory instructing about 26 addresses in east Medford to boil their water following a waterline break earlier this week has been lifted, the Medford Water Commission said this morning.
The advisory was instituted Wednesday following a waterline break on Highway 62 between Poplar Drive and Skypark Drive. The pressure loss happened when a contractor working on a private construction project hit a 14-inch water line. The break caused a loss in pressure in the distribution system.
Customers were affected between 2540 and 3084 Crater Lake Highway, 1864 through 2324 Alcan Drive, 2553 through 2577 Alma Drive and 1847 Patrick St.
Recent samples of the water taken at all addresses showed no bacteria present.
