Felony arrests

Contraband — Amber Denise Tacia, 40, no known address. Medford police arrested Tacia Tuesday on a felony charge of supplying contraband, a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a prior charge of third-degree theft and on an out-of-county warrant for failing to appear in court on a prior driving while suspended charge. She was booked in the Jackson County Jail and released Tuesday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Jacob Carl Lyon, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Lyon Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and for violating his probation on prior meth-possession and heroin-possession convictions. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Assault — Craig Anthony Martin, 43, of the 400 block of West Jackson Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Martin Tuesday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault and a misdemeanor charge of harassment. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $12,500 bail.

Burglary — Richard Anthony Wright Jr., 32, of the 300 block of South Buchanan Avenue, Eagle Point. Jackson County sheriff's deputies and Eagle Point police arrested Wright Tuesday on felony charges of second-degree burglary and first-degree theft, and on misdemeanor counts of third-degree escape, interfering with police, violating a no-contact order and second-degree theft. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $50,000 bail.

Rape — Hugo Alejandro Trinidad-Villa, 26, of the 1800 block of West Eighth Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Trinidad-Villa Tuesday on felony charges of first- and second-degree rape. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $1 million bail.

Assault — Ivan Tellez-Cortes, 18, of the 800 block of Palm Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Tellez-Cortes Tuesday on a felony charge of third-degree assault. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Assault — Brent Robert Bates, 20, of the 5100 block of Foots Creek Road, Gold Hill. On Tuesday, Bates made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony count of third-degree assault and a misdemeanor count of fourth-degree assault. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Vehicle Theft — Christopher Lee Grigsby, 33, no known addrss. Medford police arrested Grigsby Tuesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and for violating his parole on a prior aggravated identity theft conviction. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Vehicle Theft — Robert Charles Cross, 23, no known address. Medford police arrested Cross Tuesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a misdemeanor count of second-degree theft. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $12,500 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 100 block of Monterey Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle theft at 6:56 a.m. Monday. Items inside the vehicle included a green bag containing roughly 15 softball bats and gear, hand tools and a work ID. The loss was valued at $1,500.

Theft — 800 block of South Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in and vandalism at 10:05 a.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included a Hummingbird fish finder and Die Hard car batteries, and damage to the vehicle included a broken mirror and cut fuel lines. The loss and damage was valued at $850.

Burglary — 4000 block of Crater Lake Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a business at 10:42 a.m. Monday. A cash register was reported stolen and a window was reported damaged. The loss and damage was valued at $600.

Vandalism — 300 block of South Peach Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a home at 11:41 a.m. Monday. Damage to thefloors and shower was valued at $800.

Theft — 900 block of Chevy Way, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen mail at 2:18 p.m. Monday. Six days worth of mail including numerous rent checks was reported stolen. The loss was valued at $20,000.

Burglary — 2100 block of Jubilant Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 5:21 p.m. Monday. Golf clubs including a Taylor Made M1 driver and Nike putter were reported stolen The loss was valued at $1,800.

Theft — 800 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 2:05 a.m. Tuesday. Items reported stolen included an Army ring with initials engraved in black onyx stone, a gray iPad in a black case, a black gun with white engraving, cigarettes, a flashlight and prescription medication. The loss was valued at $1,850.

Theft — 400 block of South Central Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 12:44 p.m. A 52-inch LED light bar was reported stolen. The loss was valued at $180.

Vandalism — East McAndrews and Biddle roads, Medfod. Medford police took a report of graffiti to a bridge and pillar supporting a bridge at 3:01 p.m. Tuesday. The damage was valued at $250.
