A man identified with the help of social media has been cited in the burglary of a Medford cannabis dispensary, but a second person remains outstanding.
After surveillance video and stills from a burglary at Wicked Flower Shop in Medford were posted on the Medford police Facebook page earlier this week, tipsters helped police identify the suspect as Curtis Dale Bandfield, 25, according to Medford police Lt. Justin Ivens.
Just before 2 a.m. Sunday, Bandfield and an unidentified woman allegedly burglarized the dispensary, located in the 600 block of East Jackson Street, Ivens said. Medford police posted a surveillance video and stills Monday asking for tips.
Bandfield was charged by police with felony second-degree burglary and misdemeanor criminal mischief Tuesday. Ivens said Bandfield was cited and released because he was entering into a drug treatment program.
"We were trying not to hinder that, obviously," Ivens said.
A woman involved in the crime has not yet been identified, according to Ivens. Anyone with information about the burglary is encouraged to call Medford police at 541-774-2250.
