Felony arrests

Vehicle Theft — Ricardo Daniel Batres-Escobar, 24, of the 2700 block of Falcon Street, White City. Jackson County Sheriff's deputies arrested Batres-Escobar Thursday on an additional felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and additional felony charges of unlawfully entering a motor vehicle and second-degree trespassing. Medford police originally arrested Batres-Escobar Saturday for violating his parole on a prior methamphetamine-possession conviction. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Thursday without bail.

Drugs — Daniel Dewayne Plaza, 33, no known address. Medford police arrested Plaza Thursday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and for violating his parole on a prior weapon use conviction. He was lodged in jail Thursday without bail.

Attempted Murder — Terell Tareeq Stembridge, 25, no known address. Medford police arrested Stembridge Thursday on felony warrants charging him with attempted murder, two counts of first-degree robbery, first-degree assault and second-degree assault. He was lodged in jail Thursday on $1.25 million bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 2300 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:47 a.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a black Ruger revolver and a black suitcase containing clothing. The loss was valued at $501.

Theft — 300 block of Bessie Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen Ruger LC9 handgun from a vehicle at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. The loss was valued at $200.
