AIFF Benefit Screening: Local audiences will be able to watch animated and live action short films that have been nominated for an Academy Award at 6:30p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at the Varsity Theatre, 166 E. Siskiyou Film Festival: KS Wild will present its 16th annual Siskiyou Film Festival from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Grants Pass High School Preforming Arts center, 830 N.E. Ninth St. The Siskiyou Film Fest focuses on the activism, science and history of the environmental movement and features award-winning films about people creating real world solutions to today's challenges on a local, regional and global scale. This year's feature film will be "A River’s Last Chance," chronicling the history of the Eel River in Northern California.
