I previously read that a dog park was going to be installed at the old Cedar Links golf course. Can you please tell me if this is still the case and if so, what the timing is?

We have answers to both parts of your question, Beth, thanks to Rich Rosenthal, Medford parks and recreation director. Rosenthal tells us the answer is yes, there will be "a small, fenced off-leash area." It will be located in the vicinity of where the No. 9 green sat, adjacent to Cedar Links Drive and just west of the former entrance driveway to the clubhouse.
He also says the dogpark is part of Phase 3 of the park development on the site, and will likely be taken on in 2019. The larger Cedar Links area has been designated for housing developments, with some residential areas already established on the east side of the former 18-hole golf course.
The dog park will take up a relatively small corner of the planned 5-acre park that will sit on the northwest corner of the Cedar Links development. In addition to the dog area, park plans call for a large open space, walking paths, basketball courts, two pavilions, playground areas, natural areas and restrooms.
