Pear Blossom Baby Contest: The 33rd annual Pear Blossom Baby contest will be held on Saturday, April 7. The contest is open to babies ages 5 to 15 months, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the contest starting at 9:30 a.m. in front of Macy’s Home Store on the lower level of Rogue Valley Mall, 1600 N. Riverside Ave., Medford. The entry fee is $10 per category the child is entered in and entry forms are available at Kid to Kid, Little Feet, Clas E Professor, the website si-medford.org or the Soroptimist International of Medford Facebook page. All entrants are eligible for the overall category of Baby Bud for boys and Baby Blossom for girls. Other categories are Quickest Smile, Bluest Eyes, Darkest Eyes, Prettiest Hair and Chubbiest. Winners ride in the annual Pear Blossom Parade in downtown Medford Saturday, April 14. Proceeds benefit local nonprofit organizations that help women and girls.
