A Medford man arrested as a suspect in two business burglaries has been charged in connection with a string of eight more burglaries of businesses throughout the Rogue Valley.
Mark Andrew Dahlin, 43, of the 300 block of West Second Street previously pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree burglary, four counts of second-degree theft and one count of first-degree criminal mischief.
He is accused of breaking the front glass door of Hiro Sushi restaurant in Medford and stealing cash and a cash register Feb. 11, according to an indictment.
Dahlin is also suspected of taking money, cash registers and cigarettes from The Country Store in Medford Feb. 12, according to the indictment.
Those burglaries led to Dahlin’s arrest Feb. 12 after a Medford police officer allegedly identified Dahlin’s vehicle in surveillance video from the sushi restaurant, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Dahlin was indicted on more charges this month after investigators alleged he was involved in additional business burglaries in Medford, Central Point, Ashland and White City.
Restaurants were the main targets in the eight burglaries reported Nov. 28, Nov. 30, Dec. 1, Dec. 7, Dec. 8, Dec. 9 and Dec. 10 in 2017 and Jan. 15 of this year, according to a second indictment.
On Monday, Dahlin pleaded not guilty to eight counts of second-degree burglary and one count of attempted second-degree burglary. He has a pre-trial conference hearing on the new charges April 30 in Jackson County Circuit Court and a pretrial conference hearing on the older charges April 23, court records show.
Dahlin has a third pending case in which he is accused of stealing power tools from Home Depot June 3, 2017. He faces a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft, according to court records.
Dahlin repeatedly missed court dates for the Home Depot case and a warrant was issued for his arrest, court records show.
He is being held in the Jackson County Jail on $160,000 bail, according to jail records.
