April 28, 1953 - November 12, 2016

Donald Ray Kruger, a lifelong resident of the Rogue Valley passed and went home to God in the early-morning hours of November 12, 2016 after an eight-year battle with cancer. He was born April 28, 1953.

Don, as he was known to family and friends, was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish with just about anyone who would go with him. Don worked as an electrician starting in the sawmills in the late '70s up until he transferred to commercial electrical repair and worked until he was retired. Don was definitely the true measure of a man. Even after he lost the use of his leg he would still work far past his disability. He was a proud man who could light up a room with his smile. He was loved by everyone he came into contact with. In his later years, Don volunteered with the CASA program and loved working with the Maslow project; he had a deep love for helping kids.

Don is survived by his wife, Stephanie; his sons, Matt and David; his daughters, Rachel and Laura; and his grandchildren, Alexandria, Riley, Mark, Audrey, Alex, and his newest grandson, Greyson. He is also survived by his mother, Larue and his sisters, Cathy and Mary. He will be missed by many. Deeply missed.

A casual memorial service will be held from noon to 3:00 p.m. December 3, 2016 At "The Point" 311 E. Pine St., Central Point, Ore. upstairs in the banquet hall. Come and share stories of Don with his family, if you have any pictures please bring them and put them up on our memory twine. Memorial contributions in Don's name may be made to the Maslow project or to CASA.
