Doris Irene Hodgson passed away November 7, 2016 at 7:38 pm at her home in Escondido, Calif. She was born November 12, 1957 to Richard and Ida Pruitt in Inglewood, Calif. She was raised in Garden Grove, Calif. where she graduated from Pacifica High School. She was a loving wife, an accomplished wildlife artist, a bakery manager, a mother, a grandmother, daughter, sister, and a dear friend.

She married David L. Hodgson in 1975. Together they moved to Virginia where David served in the United States Navy. They divorced in 1977. She then married Otis A. Richardson in 1978. They raised three daughters over the next 27 years. They divorced in 2006. She remarried David L. Hodgson in 2008 and together they raised his daughter. They lived in Escondido until her departure. Together they loved traveling, kayaking, camping, hiking, and all things in nature.

She is survived by her husband, David L. Hodgson; four daughters, Stephanie Richardson Wahlgren, Amanda Richardson Giuliani, Amber Richardson James, and Kaitlyn Hodgson; three grandchildren, Nicholas Wahlgren, Wyatt Wahlgren, and Jessica Wahlgren; her beloved parents, Richard and Ida Pruitt; sister, Debra Pruitt Blondo; a sister-in-law, Debbie Hodgson Kobe; brother-in-law Michael Hodgson; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon December 5, 2016 at Conger-Morris Mortuary in Central Point, Ore. An interment service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery with a reception to follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Doris Hodgson Fine Arts Scholarship that is being set up in her honor at Crater High School in Central Point.
