Charles Grant Campbell, 90, of Greybull, Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Bonnie Bluejacket Memorial Nursing Home near Greybull, Wyo.
Charles was born October 27, 1926 in Rector, Missouri to Clyde Maburn Campbell Sr. and Arto Gusto (Bond) Campbell. He received his schooling in Rector, Mo. and Grand Junction, Colorado.
Charles enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in Seattle, Washington January 17, 1945. He served in the Pacific Theatre on Okinawa, and in China until his discharge October 26, 1946.
After his service, Charles lived in the Medford area, where he married his wife, Pauline Delia Dressler and started his family of four.
Charles was a member of the Elks Lodge in Medford and played league bowling, baseball, and boxed in the Golden Gloves. He worked as a timber faller.
Charles is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Erin Campbell of Greybull, Wyo.; his son, Charles Grant Campbell Jr. of Crescent City, California; and his daughter, Arteena Mae Reyes of Auburn, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Arto Campbell; his first wife, Pauline Delia Groff; his daughter, Leslie Denise Wright; and his third wife, Roberta Bond Campbell.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at noon May 28, 2017 at Laurel Hills Cemetery, Cave Junction, Ore.
