June 26, 1955 - February 26, 2017

Doug Cannon has passed from this world after battling a rare form of cancer. He is now hanging out with the angels and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born June 26, 1955 in San Jose,       California and passed February 26, 2017 in Medford, Oregon.

Doug spent the early part of his life in the San Jose area, and      graduated from Monte Vista High School in 1973. He later moved to Oroville, Calif. until the age of 24, then moved back to San Jose for 10 years. He moved back to the Oroville and Gridley area,       finally moving to Medford in 2004 until his passing. In the last few years he worked with Greyback Forestry Service. He was a member of Ore-Cal Seniors Golf Association, always keeping George,    Gerald, and Norm honest on the green. He was an usher and     helper at Rogue Valley Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Dolores Cannon. He is survived in life by a large and loving family, including his two brothers, Alan Cannon (Aloha, Ore.), Randy Cannon (Los Banos, Calif.) and sister, Carol Logan (Cupertino, Calif.); five uncles, Bruce Hughes (Gridley, Calif.), Vance Hughes (Battle Ground,         Washington), Larry Hughes (Medford, Ore.), George Kerth     (Medford, Ore.), and Gerald Kerth (Medford, Ore.); two aunts, Pauline Irwin (Medford, Ore.) and Joyce Rogers (North Carolina); and 15 adoring cousins.

A memorial service for family, friends, and co-workers will be held at Rogue Valley Christian Church on Oakdale Dr. in Medford, March 18, 2017 at 11 a.m.

He was always there to help out. No matter the question, “Whatever you need” was the answer. He was our big teddy bear with a gracious and loving heart. We will miss you, Dougie.
