Wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Lorna Mae Hall, 79, passed away December 28, 2016 at Oregon Health Science University in Portland, Oregon.

Lorna was born June 1, 1937 in Davenport, Iowa to parents Clifford and Nora Smith.  Lorna grew up and graduated from high school in the farming town of Lost Nation, Iowa.  She attended Saint Anthony's School of Nursing in Rock Island, Ill. becoming a registered nurse, then moved to Denver, Colorado to begin her nursing career in pediatrics at St. Joseph's Hospital.  Lorna married Norman Hall who was in the Air Force in January of 1962.

Lorna and Norman moved to Prineville, Ore. in 1964 and then to Medford, Ore. in 1972.  Lorna continued her nursing until she retired from the Rogue Valley Manor.

Lorna's greatest hobby was bowling, participating in leagues at both Roxy Ann and Medford Lanes, and remained a league bowler until 2015.  She was a member of U.S.W.B.C. for over 30 years.

Lorna was also a volunteer at the Medford Visitor's Center on Saturdays and enjoyed meeting people from all the different places.  Lorna had many, many, many friends from the Visitor's Center, league bowling, and especially in her career as a registered nurse, which she dearly loved.

Lorna was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Joe Smith Shultz of Minnesota; and her youngest son, Duane E. Hall.

Lorna is survived by her husband, Norman; sons, David and wife Annette, and Dion Hall, all of Medford, Ore.; grandsons, Christopher James Hall of Rogue River, Ore.; Todd Joseph Hall, U.S. Navy; Steven Edward Hall of Medford, Ore.; great-grandson, Connor James Hall by Christopher Hall, and one brother, James E.
